Fairfield Warde DECA Wins at Connecticut DECA Career Development Conference

Fairfield, CT  – Members of the Fairfield Warde DECA chapter of Connecticut DECA joined over 500 high school business, finance, hospitality and marketing students at the annual association career development conference held March 1, 2023 at the Aqua Turf in Southington, CT.  

The following students will advance to international level competition at the DECA International Career Development Conference that will be held April 22-25, 2023, in Orlando, Fl. 

This is Warde’s first time competing and the first year of their DECA Chapter.  

First Place: Katherine Foley - Retail Merchandising Series

First Place: Katherine Foley - Retail Merchandising Simulation

Second Place: Elle Melson & Eleni Gold - Buying and Merchandising Operations- Team Event

Third Place: Aura Kurel - Independent Business Plan

Placing in the top 5 for the State of CT are:

Aadira Balan - Business Financial Series

Adam Horwitz - Marketing Communications Series

Caroline Buck - Principles of Finance

In addition, Owen Campbell was awarded one of two DECA State scholarships. 

The Fairfield Warde DECA chapter invites members of the community to consider helping these students raise the funds needed to attend this conference by giving a donation by March 15, 2023.  Fairfield Warde DECA is part of the Fairfield Public School District, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, any donations are tax deductible.
