LifeBridge's Fairfield Counseling Services Offer Free Workshops to Parents/Caregivers

Fairfield, CT - LifeBridge’s Fairfield Counseling Services will offer a series of eight free workshops from 6:00 – 7:30 PM beginning Wednesday, April 27 at the Fairfield Public Library to help parents and caregivers adjust to a post-COVID world. Workshops are free and open to the public and each will be facilitated by licensed behavioral health professionals. Registration not required. 

The Weekly Schedule Includes:

4/27: Handling Stress & Increasing Motivation

5/4: How Family Members Influence Each Other

5/11: School Expulsion – What That Means and What Are Your Rights

5/18: Starting the Conversation With Your LGBTQ+ Child/Teen

5/25: Life From A Teenager’s Perspective

6/1: Blended Pitfalls and How To Avoid Them

6/8: Achieving a Healthy Work/Life Balance

6/15: Life Cycle Changes – What Parents Should Expect

Edith Lee, LifeBridge’s President and Chief Executive Officer explained, “The pandemic exacerbated existing challenges faced by the youth and families we serve in Fairfield and Bridgeport. These workshops are intended to help parents better understand their child’s world and how to provide the support they need to navigate it.” 

LifeBridge Community Services is one of the largest providers of behavioral health care in Fairfield County. The Center for Behavioral Health operates a clinic in Bridgeport as well as Fairfield Counseling Services in Fairfield. Serving children as young as six, up to seniors 55 and over, we focus on understanding the unique challenges our clients face, on quick access to care, and creating individualized plans based on the goals and needs of the person.
