Fairfield, CT: Nearly 3,000 runners are expected at this weekend’s MJP Wealth Advisors Fairfield Road Race. It will be the largest running event in Connecticut thus far in 2022!
The event is held at Jennings Beach in Fairfield featuring a half marathon, 5K, and Lil Stags Kids Fun Run. The Sunday’s half marathon will have nearly 2,000 participants and Saturday’s 5K and Kids Fun Run will have about 1,000 participants. Fairfield University presents the Lucas Challenge, inviting runners to conquer both the half marathon and 5K, totaling 16.2 miles during both days of the race weekend!
Participants and spectators will enjoy a post-race beach party on both days of the event with food vendors, live music, and an awards ceremony! This year’s event features a raffle for a round-trip ticket voucher from Avelo Airlines. One winner will be selected on both days of the event!
The MJP Wealth Advisors Fairfield Road Race is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports a number of local charities each year. The Fairfield YMCA, Wakeman Boys and Girls Club, Ben’s Lighthouse, Hole in the Wall Gang, and Community Emergency Response Team are just a few of the organizations that receive thousands of dollars of annual support from the event.
The MJP Wealth Advisors Fairfield Road Race is hosted by the Fairfield Fire Fighters and Fire Department.
