Pet Pantry Warehouse Presents 2nd Annual Dog Days Event, June 25

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Pet Pantry Warehouse, a family-owned and community-based pet supplies retailer for over 75 years, will once again host Fairfield Dog Days at 611 Old Post Road (Old Town Hall Green) on Sunday, June 25th between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. Pet Pantry has 7 locations throughout Fairfield and Westchester County and regularly hosts community "FUN-raising" events to benefit the local community and raise money for local non-profit organizations. This year's beneficiaries include Operation Hope Fairfield County (operationhopect.org), Adopt-a-Dog (adopt-a-dog.org) and Team Woofgang & Co (woofgangco.org).

Operation Hope provides individuals and families the opportunity to experience transformative change, envisioning everyone having a place to call home. The organization is also a beneficiary of Pet Pantry's "Donatable Dollars" campaign that launched during the pandemic and raises money for critical organizations in both Fairfield and Westchester Counties. The campaign is linked to the Pet Pantry monthly specials program.

Team Woofgang & Co is a non-profit organization committed to empowering adults with disabilities through vocation skill training, life-long learning, and social opportunities. "We couldn't be more excited to continue our relationship with Pet Pantry and are grateful to be chosen as a beneficiary this year," said Amiee Turner Executive Director for Team Woofgang. "Community building is a big part of what we do and we are thrilled to once again participate as both beneficiaries and vendors!"

Adopt-A-Dog is a limited-admission animal shelter whose mission is to save, socialize and secure loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs. "We are so happy and grateful to be picked as a charity for Fairfield Dog Days," said Courtney Bellew, Executive Director for Adopt A Dog Inc. She continued, "It's a wonderful event for the community with activities for kids and adults and allows Adopt-A-Dog to show off some of our adorable adoptables!  We look forward to having a positive and fun day and hope to recruit some new foster families as well".

In addition to a Bone Bar and Ice Cream Pawlor, the event will include a scavenger hunt hosted by Rock, Paper Scissor Custom Events, Dog Lovers Lure Coursing, Sniffari, Doggie Beer Garden, Animal Communicator, and Food Trucks. The Fairfield Police Department, including the K9 and Mobile Command Unit, Fairfield Fire Department Touch A Truck, along with a face painter and caricature artist, will also be in attendance. Attendees will be able to pick up free treats from a variety of pet food vendors as well as an opportunity to shop local small business vendors.

"Our goal with these events is to bring the community together while supporting organizations that really help make our community so great," said Adam Jacobson, Executive Vice President at Pet Pantry. He continued, "Our team enjoys making these events unique and fun for the whole family.
