CT Sen. Hwang Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

FAIRFIELD, CT - October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”, and on Wednesday, Sep. 28 at 11:30 AM, Sen. Tony Hwang and area health care professionals will discuss how early detection saves lives. 

“We are urging women not to put off getting their regularly scheduled mammogram,” Sen. Hwang said. “Something that is easily put on the back burner can actually be the difference between life and death. We are making an extra effort to increase awareness about breast cancer and the steps that can be taken to detect any irregularities early. I encourage everyone to reach out to and support the women in their lives. Think of your loved ones and recommend that they make an appointment for their mammogram.”

Who: Senator Tony Hwang, who is a co-ranking member of the Connecticut legislature’s Public Health Committee and ranking leader on the Insurance and Real Estate Committee. Senate Republican Leader Kevin Kelly will also be in attendance.
