NEW HAVEN, CT – The John Courtmanche Scholarships of the Faxon Law New Haven Road Race was recently awarded to six local track & field student athletes from Hillhouse High School, Wilbur Cross High School, and Career High School. The scholarships, totaling $1,500, recognize student athletes for their excellence in both academics and athletics.
John Courtmanche is a New Haven native and Hillhouse High School graduate. He has been highly involved in the New Haven School system for over 40 years as a teacher and administrator. Courtmanche served as president of the New Haven Road Race for over 20 years and still serves on the event’s Board of Directors.
