Fairfield's Tree of Hope Recognizes Diabetes Research in May

Fairfield, CT - The iconic Tree of Hope on Fairfield's Sherman Green is lit up for May to recognize Diabetes research. Local mom Meghan Parker reached out about spreading awareness after her son Ryan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She's since connected with many other local families whose children are fighting this same disease.

Many of them were able to come together last week for a neighborhood walk and gathering around the tree, complete with messages from family and friends on ribbons. Meghan hopes this will spread awareness and provide encouragement for other local families in the same boat. For more information, please visit diabetesresearch.org.
