Fairfield's Tree of Hope Recognizes Alzheimer's This June

Fairfield, CT - The Tree of Hope on Sherman Green is lit up purple for the month of June to recognize the Alzheimer's Association, which provides support to families living with Alzheimer's Disease. In partnership with many assisted living and health systems in the area, they host education sessions for both the public and medical staff.

They also host and facilitate support groups for caregivers and individuals living with early onset Alzheimer's. The organization is one of the largest funders of research looking for new treatments for the disease as well. Several of these researchers are here in Connecticut. But really the ultimate goal of participating in community events like the Tree of Hope is to raise awareness about the disease and remove the stigmas associated with it.
