NPT Presents "Grease" Summer Production

FAIRFIELD, CT – The New Paradigm Theatre Company (NPT), well known for its inventive productions that are presented with multi-cultural and multi-generational casting, has chosen "Grease" for its summer production!

Applications for students 8-18 are being accepted now. Each summer these young actors not only learn singing, dancing and acting from the professional directors and designers, but also how to connect "theatre" to their local community with social justice nonprofit work.

Director and Broadway veteran Kristin Huffman says, "Last year our Little Mermaid production partnered with the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalkto highlight the issue of marine debris, and used trash collected from beach cleanups to make sets, costumes and props. The young people in our show had the chance to build these elements of the show working elbow-to-elbow with our designers which gave them a sense of ownership over the production! Not to mention the educational elements involved in learning about the environment from experts like the Maritime!"

NPT's announcement about this year's nonprofit will be issued soon, but 8-18 year olds can apply now to be one of the actors in this year's production now! Discounts apply to early applications.
