You're IT LUX POPPIN!
Four questions with Sonny Meza, Lead Stylist of LUX POPPIN.
Why did you start your business?
The raw and short answer is, to make money doing what I love to do! But the truth is I have always loved entertaining people. Since my teenage years, I’ve had an interest in decorating for parties. When my Mother was sick with ALS I took a hiatus from my corporate job and lived in CT for a few months where I started a luxury picnic business. From there my business grew into full-service event planning and I had a client ask me for a balloon display. After completely butchering her installation (although she loved it), I was determined to learn more! The rest is history.
What is your best-selling product/service?
Our brand focuses on event design and grand balloon installations, curating eye-catching focal points, centerpieces, and balloon displays of all sizes; catering to both the community and corporate clients. We also carry one of the hottest new party rental trends – THE BUBBLY PALACE bubble house. A bubble house is an inflatable igloo with circulating balloons! It’s suitable for all ages and the perfect addition to a birthday, photo shoot, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, schools, etc.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
I grew up in Fairfield. I attended the same elementary that my kids now attend and I graduated from FHS before there were two high schools! So supporting locals has always been my thing. I’m a proud women-owned business that is a part of the business socialist society. I also with Wind and Wave Design for SEO and marketing, as well as Alexis Amato with a manifest with Alexis. I have also hosted events with Neelab with Pearls and Places and have many connections through eating at local restaurants often.
Have you 'reimagined' your small business?
I reimagine my small business every day! I have learned to view and treat it as a large business! The bigger the mindset the further you will go!LUX POPPIN a call at (818)856-6087.
