Fairfield, CT - Fairfield County Giving Day on March 1 encourages you to “give where you live.” Mill River Wetlands Committee is an incredibly unique, local organization that has taught generations of Fairfielders how to appreciate and protect our environment using our town’s rivers and estuary. Fairfield residents, in particular, will see the impact of their donation directly in the River-Lab Program study-trips that take place throughout the fall and spring at the Mill River and Ash Creek Estuary or the native plant beautification on Wilson Road.
Help MRWC continue to offer learning opportunities to our children and community by making a contribution on March 1, Fairfield County’s Giving Day at https://fcgives.org/designee/mill-river-wetland-committee
Any donation will be put directly toward education. A $10 donation pays for 5th grade microscope slides or a $100 contribution will help pay for the set-up of 8 study-trips. Each donation helps the group provide environmental education directly to Fairfield through its community and River-Lab programs. Please set a reminder to visit https://fcgives.org/designee/mill-river-wetland-committee on March 1 and give to MRWC!
The Mill River Wetland Committee has a simple mission: to educate the community about the value of wetlands, to advocate for their continued protection, and to engage all people in the fight to protect our environment. The MRWC believes that people protect the things they love, and love the things they have learned to understand. With the River-Lab Program, now beginning its 50th year in Fairfield schools, the MRWC has taught generations of students and parents to value the watersheds that support our lives. MRWC is a registered CT 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
