Fairfield Makes the Grade as a Best Place to Live

Fairfield, CT - The Town of Fairfield has been given an A+ in a 2018 ‘report card’ on "Best Places to Live" in Connecticut. Fairfield is one of nearly 20 municipalities in Connecticut to receive this high honor.

Niche, a consumer rankings service, designated each of the State’s town and cities with a grade ranging from A+ to D+. The rankings also include sections of towns and city neighborhoods such as Southport which also received an A+.

According to Niche’s website, "The 2018 Best Places to Live ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall livability of an area. This grade takes into account several key factors of a location, including the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities in an attempt to measure the overall quality of an area. Niche uses the most comprehensive, up-to-date data available from sources like the Department of Education, U.S. Census, and over 100 million reviews and survey responses from students, parents, and residents.”

First Selectman Tetreau stated, “Our Town is so proud to receive such a high mark especially as it relates to our superior schools, top-notch public safety and high quality of life.
