Southport, CT - On Saturday, May 19th 2018, Au Pairs of the Au Pair in America program volunteered to make patriotic signs of thanks for the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club  Memorial Day parade float. In addition to helping with the parade float, they constructed and painted a colorful memorial display to be featured on Wakeman's Southport location's front lawn. Bright red paper flowers will be showcased throughout the lawn honoring American veterans.

Not only do au pairs come over from their countries to gain job experience, improve their English, study abroad, and care for American children, they also partake in community service. The more au pairs are involved in their communities, the more enriching the experience.  For more information on what an au pair is, and how to become a host family, go to www.aupairinamerica.com
