LAKEVILLE, Conn. — Lime Rock announces exciting new activities available for the entire family during the Northeast Grand Prix on July 20- 21, 2018.
“Whether camping for the weekend or bringing the family together for a day trip, Lime Rock Park's festive atmosphere during major spectator events is perfect for the entire family,” said Lime Rock Park President Skip Barber. “This year, during the Northeast Grand Prix, we’re expanding The Midway, including its kids area, to offer even more options for families.”
Among the new features of The Midway area of the Park, a 24-foot rock climbing wall will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Operated by R.E.A.D Amusements, the wall allows up to five people (ages 5 and older) to traverse it at a time. Spectators can climb to the top and get a one-of-a-kind view of the track activities below. Plus, the kids can enjoy a bounce house and face painting booth on Saturday. Tickets for these activities will be sold separately at the info tent on The Midway.
Families can also take part in Midway activities such as a virtual racing simulator operated by Artis Race Labs, shop for racing apparel and collectibles, and grab a snack at one of the festive food trucks. Families are also encouraged to tour the open paddock and to participate in the scheduled Autograph Session and Grid Walk.
