Teen Fun in December at Fairfield Library

Fairfield, Conn. - December is full of creative fun for teens with DIY events that include crafts, cookie decorating, making gingerbread houses and even creating a giant floor piano with simple coding.  All events are for tweens and teens in grades 6 and up. Here is the schedule of events:

DIY Gifts: Saturday, December 1, 2:00-4:00 pm, Main Library
Get into the holiday spirit while creating gifts and watching a holiday movie. 

We’re Making It-Giant Floor Piano: Tuesday, December 4, 3:30-4:30 pm, Main Library

Celebrate Computer Science Education Week by helping us construct a giant floor piano with a Makey Makey, simple coding and crafty skills.

Gingerbread House Workshop: Friday, December 7, 3:00-4:00 pm, Fairfield Woods Branch Library

Create a small gingerbread house to take home as a holiday decoration or to enter in the Library’s Gingerbread House Contest on December 9.

Cookie Decorating: Tuesday, December 18, 3:30-4:30 pm, Main Library

An afternoon of cookie decorating to holiday music.  Take home your sweet creations to share.
