Dr. Patrick Carolan Announces Retirement After 49 Years of Practice

BRIDGEPORT, Connecticut – After 49 years of practice, orthopeadic surgeon Patrick J. Carolan, MD, has announced his retirement. Dr. Carolan, a lifelong resident of Fairfield, has been on staff at St. Vincent’s for more than four decades and served as the Division Chief for Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Carolan recognized the demand for orthopaedic care among the vulnerable population in Bridgeport, and provided his medical expertise in the St. Vincent’s Specialty Clinic for the last six years. Throughout his career, he has served on and played an influential role in many committees at St. Vincent’s, including the Medical Executive Committee, Peer Review Committee, Credentials Committee, Infectious Disease Committee, Perioperative Services Committee, and the Utilization Review Committee.

St. Vincent’s Medical Center leadership and associates are grateful to Dr. Carolan for his many contributions to the organization and to the community which we serve, and wish him all the best in his retirement.
