Hotel Hi-Ho Awards Student Scholarships

Fairfield, CT - On Wednesday, March 13 at Hotel Hi-Ho, Edward Gormbley awarded three students; Brayam Nunez, Jose Dataram and Arav D'Souza, with the first "Fairfield College Preparatory School Scholarship" on behalf of The Circle Hotel and Hotel Hi-Ho. Also present were Fairfield Prep president Father Simisky; SEED Director Alecia Thomas; the students' parents; the hotel management team; and mentors of the award winners. 

A reflection of The Circle Hotel's and Hotel Hi-Ho's commitment to the Fairfield community, each of the three scholarships provide a $2,500 grant, which will help assist with tuition costs at Fairfield Prep. 

Gormbley, a Fairfield Prep alumnus (class of '95) and a current member of the board, is the managing partner ofWorkforce Partners, a real estate investment firm that owns local properties including The Circle Hotel and Hotel Hi-Ho.

The Circle Hotel Fairfield & Hotel Hi-Ho Scholarship Award was available to students enrolled at Fairfield Prep who are currently employed by The Circle Hotel or Hotel Hi-Ho, or whose parents are currently employed by The Circle Hotel or Hotel Hi-Ho. Applicants were required to maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, attend all academic hours and submit a 500-word essay on "what Prep means to you."
