Fairfield, CT - Wakeman Boys & Girls Club’s annual Great Futures Golf Outing was held June 3 with a full field of 124 golfers convening under perfect weather at the Country Club of Fairfield. The tournament benefits programming and operations for 3000+ kids and teens served annually by Wakeman Boys & Girls Club.
After an enjoyable day playing in the sun and breeze alongside the Long Island Sound, participants enjoyed a cocktail hour and heard from teen members Jack Steed, Caitlyn Kane, and Quinton Sneed-Lott about their varied and impactful experiences at Wakeman Boys & Girls Club.
Wakeman is so appreciative of all who supported this year’s tournament, which raised over $82,000 for the organization. The $82,000 raised at the Golf Outing goes towards Wakeman’s annual fundraising requirements of more than $1.8 million to support Club program delivery, scholarships, and operations across the organization.
Wakeman Boys & Girls Club's next fundraiser will be Over the Edge on September 14, 2019. Open to the public, OTE participants raise funds for opportunity to rappel 16 stories down the People's United Bank Headquarters in Bridgeport. 76 rappelling slots are available.
