TRUMBULL, CT – Make-A-Wish® Connecticut warmly and proudly welcomes Robyn Whittingham to its Board of Directors.
After a career as an executive in global human resources, Whittingham left the corporate world to pursue her dream of opening a yoga studio -- Enjoy Community Wellness & Yoga. She is the 'chief cook and bottlewasher' at the studio, which offers varied class styles, including beginner's classes and restorative yoga, interesting wellness workshops, health and wellness services with licensed, experienced practitioners (acupuncture, reiki, massage) - all in a lovely, Zen community setting.
Robyn is active in her local community (sitting on a few hospital board committees) and volunteers at her local library. As if that weren’t enough, she is also an editor for Elliot.org, a non-profit consumer advisement and resolutions service.
Whittingham received her master’s from the University of Pennsylvania in Organizational Dynamics, Operations Management and Supervision and lives in Stamford, CT.
ABOUT MAKE-A-WISH CONNECTICUT
Make-A-Wish® Connecticut creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and volunteers across the state currently grant nearly 250 wishes a year. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Connecticut has granted more than 3,300 wishes to local children. For more information about Make-A-Wish Connecticut, visit ct.wish.org.
