Fairfield Museum Announces IMAGES 2020
Juried Photography Show Winners

FAIRFIELD, CT - The Fairfield Museum and History Center is proud to announce the winners of IMAGES 2020, its twelfth annual Juried Photography Show. Winners were chosen in the categories of Landscape, Portrait, Architecture, Nature and Abstract. This long-awaited exhibition of the winning photographs, which was postponed due to the pandemic, will finally open to the public at the Fairfield Museum, 370 Beach Road, on Friday, September 4th.

A special IMAGES Preview Event to benefit the Fairfield Museum will be held virtually on Thursday evening, September 3rd. The evening will include a preview of the IMAGES 2020 Juried Show and announce the grand prize winners as well as open the first-ever outdoor exhibition on Museum Commons, featuring the work of IMAGES 2020 Photographer and celebrity portraitist Victoria Will.

IMAGES 2020 is a highly regarded exhibition that celebrates the exceptional work of talented, regional photographers. This year’s jury of Victoria Will, Brad Smith, and Bob Burns selected the winners from more than 600 photographs.

The Professional/Serious Amateur winner will receive an exhibition at the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery in the Fairfield Public Library on a date to be determined by the gallery. The Student winner will receive a professional portfolio review with Philip Trager.

IMAGES 2020 will be on display through Sunday, November 1 and is presented in memory of Marcia B. Saft. A former Fairfield Museum Board Member and devoted community leader and philanthropist, Marcia Saft (1945-2016) was an enthusiastic supporter of Fairfield’s history and artistic legacy.
