Woofgang & Co. Opening New Job Training Facility in Bridgeport

Bridgeport, CT - On Wednesday, May 5, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, Team Woofgang & Co. will officially open the doors of its new vocational training facility at 2861 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. Nearby business owners and Team Woofgang & Co. supporters are encouraged to attend. Small group tours will be offered.

Team Woofgang & Co. is a non-profit organization empowering adults with disabilities through a wide variety of vocational skill sets learned by producing, packaging, marketing, and selling high-quality pet treats, toy, apparel, and accessories.

During the opening, Board President Amy Stern and Executive Director Amiee Turner, will welcome state and local government officials, supporters, and community members to celebrate the occasion and tour the new facility, which features commercial grade equipment and spaces designed to accommodate people with a variety of skill and ability levels.

“This new facility is nothing short of a dream come true for us,” said Turner. “It will enable Team Woofgang to increase the number of adults with disabilities that we serve as well as increase our production capacity, and do it all in a space that is both safe and inclusive. We are deeply grateful to our donors, partners, and volunteers for making this new facility not only a reality but a happy, welcoming space.”

Team Woofgang & Co. offers free vocational training and services to adults with disabilities in Fairfield County. After the grand opening, the vocational facility will be open by appointment only.
