Founded in 1982 by award-winning Interior Horticultural Designer, Kathleen Neth, Avant Garden specializes in creating extraordinary plantscapes—each a reflection of the client’s exacting requirements, culture and unique personality.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business to enhance the interior of commercial and residential properties Horticulturally as well as aesthetically with tropical foliage plants and containers. Avant Garden LLC is the premier, interior horticultural design resource serving clients throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties in New York and Connecticut. We specialize in office plants and plant rentals.

What is your best-selling product/service?

My best-selling products are interior horticultural design, installation, and maintenance.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We use the following businesses to support our business: Dom’s Garden Center, Halaas farms, New Fairfield Hardware, Bank of America.

Have you "reimagined" your small business?

We have expanded to included servicing high-end residential.
