AGW SoNo Partners and OnWashington Announce Entrepreneur Contest Winners

South Norwalk, CT: Local real estate collective AGW SONO Partners is thrilled to introduce the talented entrepreneurs who have been chosen to receive a pop-up space on Washington Street in South Norwalk. In March, AGW’s OnWashington marketing team put the call out for entrepreneurs to present their business concept for a chance to win commercial real estate in SoNo where they can introduce their products and services to the public while having the opportunity to experience operating their business on Washington Street.  Over 30 business pitches were submitted, which included art and entertainment concepts, antique and flower shops, DIY products and instruction studios, as well as fitness floors and wellness consultants.

AGW SONO Partners, the real estate collective that manages 27 properties on Washington Street, has awarded the pop-up spaces to two talented entrepreneurs with innovative concepts. Morlux Infusions is a vitamin and hydration studio owned and operated by registered nurse and Norwalk resident Carmen Morales. Ms. Morales has set up shop at 68A Washington Street, where she will be administering IV infusion services that assist in body replenishments for athletes, hangover and jetlag reboots, hair, skin, and nail beautification, and vitamin supplementation for various health and wellness goals.  All infusions are administered by a skilled RN and are under the supervision of Morlux Infusions’ medical director.

*Morlux Infusions Opens Wednesday, May 26. Official Ribbon Cutting with Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling and AGW’s Adam Greenbaum takes place at 2 PM.

The second pop-up space has been given to Eco Evolution, a concept and persona created by “Eco Dude” Brad Kerner whose mission is to present consumers with everyday products and practices to achieve a more sustainable lifestyle. Brad combines his obsession for recycling and background in organic farming with his years as a healthcare educator, humanitarian worker, and Peace Corps volunteer, and has created a retail and educational platform for consumers looking to “do better”. Eco Evolution, located at 135 Washington Street, will feature a multitude of eco-friendly home products, beauty and accessory items, local artisan goods, all-natural cleaners, artwork and décor, kids’ toys, and even pet supplies. Products from Brad’s large circle of like-minded and eco-centric makers and designers will be featured, in addition to local musicians and artists joining in the evolution. *Official Opening is Planned for the Week of June 7. Stay Tuned…

"The small business contest is a great example of the types of initiatives we love to create in SoNo,” says Adam Greenbaum, Managing Partner AGW SONO Partners, “When we launched the contest, we were astonished at how talented, passionate, and compelling so many of the candidates were! We found Brad and Carmen to be amazing and we can't wait to let this experience improve the growth of their businesses."

“This is a wonderful opportunity for Carmen and Brad to introduce their businesses and to be able to test the waters in a commercial and public setting, “says Linda Kavanagh, the Director of OnWashington, of the 2-month pop-up timeframe, “Morlux Infusions and Eco Evolution will be operating throughout the summer months, an active time of year in our coastal city.  We are excited to introduce both concepts and follow their progress.”

Two more businesses are afoot within the AGW portfolio, including the recently opened SONO BOIL (99 Washington Street), a taste of Low-country cuisine with a splash of Louisiana Bayou, Sono Boil brings a bit of Cajun spice to the neighborhood with their Crawfish and Crab menu, playful nautical décor, vibrant cocktails, and vacation vibe. In June, APPETIT BISTRO (136 Washington Street) brings modern French dining to SoNo. This popular Parisian eatery, upon earning rave reviews in their Port Chester, NY location, brings their brand of classic French fare with a twist to the neighborhood.
