Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT JB Percival Co.!
Three questions with Amy O'Shea, owner of JB Percival Co.
Why did you start your business?
My husband Billy and I started our business to bring an elevated craft cocktail experience to Fairfield. We have bar and comfortable lounge seating ideal for a date night, girls' night, or a drink before or after dinner or a show at FTC or the Community Theatre. We also have an excellent selection of rotating craft beer, carefully procured small production wines and food to complement our libations such as charcuterie and cheese boards, hummus, pate, and naan pizzas.
What is your best-selling product/service?
We are best known for our craft cocktails. We use a lot of locally sourced and small brand spirits and fresh juices. Many of our spirits are not commonly found in restaurant bars. We have a selection of classic signature cocktails, seasonal cocktails and we are always adding limited-edition special cocktails.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
We frequently collaborate with Be Chocolat on wine/cocktail/spirit pairings and tastings. We also recently featured Lesizza Italian Ice from Reef Shack in one of our cocktails. We really love working with local businesses.
Amy would like to nominate Olive My Stuff in Fairfield to be featured next!
