Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Fairfield Kitchen & Bath!
Four questions with Sal Elkoun, Co-owner of Fairfield Kitchen & Bath.
Why did you start your business?
We have been in the construction business for well over a decade and we found that most of our clients are requesting kitchen and bath remodels. They had a hard time visualizing the final outcome with getting products from all different locations so we decided to open our own showroom to showcase all the kitchen cabinets, vanity’s, and tile flooring.
What is your best-selling product/service?
We love when we put a complete kitchen together for our customers. It doesn’t necessarily have to be custom for it to be a complete kitchen and customers love that especially because they save a ton of money.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
- Our installers are Elkoun Management out of Derby CT
- Our quartzes are marble and granite out of Milford CT
- Our fabricators are Impeccable out of Bridgeport CT
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
Not necessarily, we are fairly new to the retail business and we are excited to showcase what we can do for the Fairfield homeowner community.
Sal would like to nominate King's Deli in Fairfield - "They are across the street from us and make really good breakfast and lunch!"
