Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Brittany Tharp Interiors!

Three questions with Brittany Tharp, founder of Brittany Tharp Interiors.

Why did you start your business?

Brittany Tharp Interiors was founded to work with homeowners to create beautiful, curated designs that reflect their personality and style - from consultations for DIY projects to full-service projects where we take care of everything from start to finish. I began the company during COVID as a way to balance the craziness of childcare with my interior design career.

As a former teacher, I love educating my clients about how the process works and sharing my expertise so they understand why certain choices are better than others. I enjoy the freedom of working closely with clients to create their dream spaces and strongly feel that everyone deserves to have spaces that rejuvenate them and that they love.

What is your best-selling product/service?

My most popular service is the Design Jumpstart service where I help you launch your next design project. It's an information-packed hour-long meeting, either in person or virtually, where you get to have all of your design questions answered by a professional and I share my expertise and resources to help you get off on the right track. This can be a stand-alone service where you then take the reins and go, or it can be the beginning of a larger project where we continue to work together.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We work with quite a few local businesses to support our clients, including contractors, plumbers, painters, and other trades. Some of our most recommended trades include S Huntley and Sons, Legend Home Services, and American Flag Granite and Stone.

Brittany would like to nominate Goosehead Insurance - Nathan Archer to be featured next!
