Bridgeport, CT - The SetSail Foundation is a wonderful local program providing 100% financial scholarships to 60 to 70 children each summer to attend a two-week sailing school. Sailing lessons are conducted from Captain's Cove, Bridgeport, through the Sail Away Sailing School.

SSF's mission is to introduce the life lessons of self-reliance, leadership and camaraderie that sailing uniquely offers. To give those children who, for whom it is not financially possible, the best summer ever. Most importantly, in a challenging environment, to make friends and have fun!

HOW FUNDING WORKS:

For the last seven years, the SSF Foundation has never turned a child away. No overhead, all volunteer run – every dollar goes towards the sailing scholarships. No endowment, no fancy fund raisers, no sponsorship – just kind people who want to help. SSF relies entirely on the generosity of individuals to sponsor children.
