Jen & Bill Kenny's Three Businesses Unite at One New Location; Ribbon Cutting Set, July 28

Fairfield, CT - The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that its three members: NATIVE, Fairfield Performance Arts Studio and William Kenny Associates, have scheduled the grand opening of their new location for Wednesday, July 28, 2021. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be officiated by First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick, at 11:30am.

After more than a combined 30 years of operation in three separate Fairfield locations, the three businesses that are owned and operated by Jen & Bill Kenny are uniting at one location - at 1899 Bronson Road in the Greenfield Hill Village.  The former Fairfield County Bank building has been beautifully renovated by local builder John Provenzano of D III Development.  The public is invited to the grand opening/ribbon cutting and attendees will enjoy an introduction to the "new" building and the wide assortment of native plants.

NATIVE’s mission is to provide a wide diversity of healthy, superior quality, regionally native plants to support the national movement of expanding ecologically critical native plant habitats to support our wildlife, while fostering an appreciation for the beauty of native plants.

We believe that our native plants will enrich the lives of the people who are serving as stewards of the land, through their enjoyment of the planted spaces created, and the new life that can be viewed foraging and making homes at their property.

“We thoroughly enjoy engaging in conversations with our customers at NATIVE and consider each conversation as an opportunity to expand both our and their knowledge of native plants. Native plants provide invaluable ecological and aesthetic benefits while creating magical spaces for our customers. It is fulfilling to know that we are furthering our goal in making our environment more sustainable for all its inhabitants. We love to inform and inspire customers and help them to create beautiful and sustainable spaces with native plants.” States William Kenny.

In 2008, Jennifer Kenny founded Fairfield Performing Arts Studio (FPAS) to provide professional acting instruction to people of all ages. As owner and executive director of FPAS, Jennifer designs her programs to help students build their confidence and stimulate their imaginations. Jennifer leads a variety of programs that include group classes, private coaching, and annual summer camp sessions, with performances that range from in-class skits to full-scale musical theatre productions.

Across the board, FPAS classes emphasize the development of the actor as a person. Unlike other studios that strive to construct a ‘star,’ FPAS provides actors with life skills, encouraging group trust, positive self-image, focus, and confidence. Through rehearsals and performances, games and exercises, students hone skills in voice and movement. They learn to use the five senses and improve their self-expression, communication, listening, self-awareness, teamwork and ability to collaborate. Classes are dynamic, providing opportunities for physical fitness and engaging students in the exciting spontaneity of improvisation. Private coaching and group classes are provided in a safe, encouraging, and supportive environment. In group settings, activities include skits, theatre games, and improvisational exercises. Students gain skills in music, movement, technique, navigating the stage, character development, audition preparation, voice and diction.
