You're IT Bluefactor Computer Services!
Four questions with Kevin Blackwood, founder of Bluefactor Computer Services.
Why did you start your business?
It has always been my dream to work for myself. The challenges along the way were tough, but none are regrettable. I started BlueFactor to following my dream of being a business owner and to help other businesses with their technological needs. Each day is I’m motivated to meeting new people, discussing their business direction, and see where BlueFactor can fit in helping with their computing goals.
What is your best-selling product/service?
BlueFactor’s bestselling service is customer support and management services. Keeping a client environment running smoothly without having the customer think about their technology.
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Technology services can be provided from anywhere in the world. Nonetheless, BlueFactor strives to seek out local businesses to partner with to strive forward. We use Datto out of Norwalk, CT for our backup services, we advertise locally and try to support local venues that host other small businesses functions.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
Yes, with technology changes being so rapid, we are taking more of a security approach first attitude. Since Covid-19, cyber threats are up a staggering 30,000% according to StealthLabs. To help alleviate client’s fears we offer free security scans and assessments to mitigate their chances of them falling victim to a cyber-attack.
