Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT The Batch Pantry!

Three questions with Deborah Latham, founder of The Batch Pantry.

Why did you start your business?

I've been cooking and baking for years. Friends told me years ago I should really start my own business. I thought about it for a while and it's something I love doing so I decided it was time.

What is your best-selling product/service?

Cookies and cupcakes seem to be the most popular. I've done Avenger Cookies, unicorn cookies, etc. for birthdays, plus, hearts, tulips, and flower cookies for a Memorial service, and many more. Visit my website thebatchpantry.com to see more.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

We use Fairfield County Bank to support our business!
