Newtown Demands Immediate Power Restoration Action

Newtown, CT - State Senator Tony Hwang and Newtown State delegation members join Newtown First Selectman Dan Rosenthal to call on Eversource to take immediate action to restore power to the remaining 30% of Newtown & Sandy Hook residents.  

They will host an informational press conference at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown, CT, Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 10am, at Edmond Town Hall, to provide an update on their State Legislative & Regulatory Agency Investigation of Eversource’s storm response, and locally demand action and accountability for why some residents are still without power a full week after Tropical Storm Isaias ravaged Fairfield County.

The matter is a critical issue of public health and safety of Newtown residents.
