Fairfield Health Dept. to Host Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinics

FAIRFIELD, CT – The Fairfield Health Department is urging all residents to receive the flu vaccine this year. The single best way to protect yourself and those around you from the flu is to get vaccinated. It is recommended that everyone over the age of 6 months receive the flu vaccine every year. It takes about 2 weeks after the receiving the flu vaccine for the body to develop protection against the flu virus so now is a good time to get vaccinated.

The Health Department will be hosting many small flu clinics this year for adults and children age 3 and older. The next date is:

Saturday, November 21st from 10am – 12pm by APPOINTMENT ONLY

This clinic will take place at the Senior Center at 100 Mona Terrace, Fairfield. Please note, this clinic will be in the classrooms in the back parking lot of the Senior Center. Please call 203-256-3150 to schedule an appointment.

When additional clinic dates become available, check the Fairfield Health Departments website at fairfieldct.org/health and check our social media.

Medicare Part B, Connecticare, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, and United HealthCare are all accepted and there is no co pay. This is a CASHLESS clinic, credit cards and checks will be accepted. Cash price for the Flu vaccine is $30, and the High Dose vaccine is $65.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all individuals are required to wear a cloth face covering. Please print out the vaccine consent form at fairfieldct.org/health and bring it completed. Patients should have their insurance card with them and wear clothes that make it easy to expose the upper arm.
