Sing choral classics with Music on the Hill on four Tuesday evenings in August!
Each week features a different work with a different choral conductor. No preparation, no advance registration, no performance, no worries -- the audience is the chorus! Attend one session or many; revisit a familiar favorite or try something new. Singers of all backgrounds, including high school singers, are welcome.
The series begins with the Mendelssohn Elijah on Tuesday, August 2nd, led by Marguerite Brooks of the Yale School of Music and Institute of Sacred Music. Succeeding sessions will be led by David H. Connell (8/9), Fiona Smith Sutherland (8/16), and Ellen Dickinson (8/23). Check www.musiconthehillCT.org for musical selections closer to the date.
Summer Sings will be held on Tuesdays, August 2 - 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wilton Presbyterian Church at WEPCO, 48 New Canaan Road, Wilton. Sessions are free with donations gratefully accepted. Scores will be available for use.
