Dear Husky Fans,
The Fall 2019 sports season was exciting and rewarding for Harrison student athletes and fans alike. Thanks to all who gave it their all on the field and from the stands! Our student athletes approached each practice and every game of the season committed to achieving excellence on and off the field, to supporting their teammates and to respecting the Husky traditions of hard work and accountability.
Several of our athletes achieved unprecedented successes. The Varsity Girls Swim Team went undefeated in league meets, broke two long standing school records and clinched the Conference Championship Title. The Girls Varsity Tennis Doubles Team of Deana Giambo and Jessica Saviano were Section 1 Doubles Champions and made a strong showing at the NY State competition, placing 5th overall. In addition, more than 30 Huskies earned individual recognition and were honored as All League, All Section or All Elite athletes.
Our coaching staff is committed to the growth of our players as students, athletes, scholars and individuals. We appreciate their dedication to developing players at all levels. Each coach acknowledges a player with the “Coach’s Award.” This award is presented to the athlete who positively impacts the culture of the team, always supports his or her teammates, and puts team above self.
I also would like to recognize our student athletes for the amazing ways in which they represent Harrison off the field. In addition to training, practicing and competing, athletes made time to volunteer, to fundraise or to raise awareness of initiatives to improve the world around them.
In everything they do, our student athletes make us HUSKY PROUD.

Harrison student-athletes excel on and off the field and work as a team to support organizations and initiatives in our community. Here are examples of how our athletes spent time off the field this season:
The Varsity Football Team participated in a ceremony honoring the late Sgt. Joseph Lemm who was an NYPD detective killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan. The Husky captains presented the Lemm Family with a Harrison Football jersey to honor Sgt Joseph Lemm.
Varsity and JV Cheerleaders cheered on riders in Wall Street Rides FAR for Autism, which raises funds for the life-changing research by the Austin Science Foundation.
The Field Hockey Team raised funds for the Nancy B. Clemente Cancer Fund.
The Boys Soccer Team volunteered at the Pleasantville Cottage School.
Huskies making us proud on and off the field!
