If you've entered Pope Park at Hamilton Street and Pope Park Drive in the last few years, you've probably noticed that the trees are watching you.
In 2009, artist Matthew Rodriguez was commissioned by Real Art Ways to give faces to 77 of the trees in the park. Painted with the help of local volunteers, the faces all wear different expressions, making the experience of seeing them "react" to your presence that much more enjoyable.
Or that much creepier; it all depends.
