Hooker Day Parade is Saturday

Hartford's annual celebration of city founder Thomas Hooker and local creativity will take place at 2:00 p.m. on October 18.

Hartford.com describes the event as "hands down the weirdest, most made-up, rag-tag, cut loose, high-spirited, Mardi Gras bead and candy filled parade in Hartford. Its purpose is to celebrate Hartford; the City, the creativity and the people. The parade steps off at 2:00 p.m. on the dot, and it is a pretty short parade. Do not be fashionably late. You might miss it."
