Connecticut Trailers And Bolton Motors Team Up For 5th Annual Holiday Coat Drive
Two Connecticut companies want to share the warmth of the holidays with local families in need. For the fifth year, Connecticut Trailers & Powersports is teaming up with Bolton Motors and its local State Police department to ensure that no family goes cold this season by hosting the “Stuff a Trailer” annual winter clothing collection.
The campaign will accept new jackets, hats, boots and gloves for children and adults from November 29 through December 20, 2019 at both Bolton-based businesses. There is a convenient drop box located at the Bolton Motors showroom at 99 New Bolton Rd. and a small decorated trailer inside the Connecticut Trailers’ showroom, located at 7 Bolton Center Road.
“We want to collect enough coats to fill at least one of our largest trailers from top to bottom, corner to corner” said Gary Bergeron, President of Connecticut Trailers. “In order to boost donations, every time a trailer or golf cart is purchased, we will donate a new coat from Zahner’s in Rockville to the cause in the customer’s name.”
The coat collection coincides with Connecticut Trailers and Powersports 15th annual Red Tag Sale that runs from Black Friday, November 29 through December 31, 2019. Everything on the lot is drastically reduced with a clearly marked Red Tag.
“The timing of the sale maximizes donations because we have so many customers who want to save thousands on all trailers, truck beds, golf cars and industrial vehicles during this once a year sales event,” explained Bergeron.
Connecticut State Police Officers with the Bolton Residents Troopers Office will be onsite to personally accept donations on Saturday, December 14 from 2:30-5:30p at Connecticut Trailers. Then on December 20, the troopers will pick up all of the winter gear collected and distribute the items to both families in need and hospitals across the state.
