CT Credit Union Hosts CARES Act for Small Businesses

Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union’s Shane Dugan, Assistant Vice President of Lending, will decipher how the new Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) benefits local small businesses in a FREE Online Webinar on Thursday, April 9 at 3:00 p.m.

The federal CARES Act signed into law on March 27, 2020 provides emergency relief to companies impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) however there are many questions about accessing funds. Key components include the 7(a) loan program and the Small Business Paycheck Protection Program that provides small businesses with financing to pay up to eight weeks of payroll costs including benefits. Funds can also be used to pay interest on mortgages, rent and utilities but must fall within program parameters.
