The Storyteller's Cottage invites you to Write Your Memoir or Novel

Do you want your writing to be a priority in 2019? Are you working on a memoir or novel? If so, the Storyteller's Cottage collaborative workshop will provide you with the necessary guidance, structure, and writer’s tools.

In this 6-week workshop, you’ll learn how to draw upon your life experiences to write a memoir or to craft fiction from your imagination. You’ll tackle your writing from all angles—as a reader, writer, editor, and with your eye toward publication. You’ll learn strategies to execute your ideas which will save you time as a writer and serve your story. You’ll study the craft of writing from weekly mentor texts (nonfiction and fiction).

Under the guidance of a working editor, you’ll learn how to shape your writing to captivate readers and sustain their interest. We’ll delve into the ever-changing book publishing landscape and the many print and online magazines which could serve as homes for your writing or launch your memoir or novel. Writers of all levels are welcome. Not a cookie-cutter workshop. No writer's cone of silence. No stale handouts. You'll write at least a chapter a week. These six weeks will transform your writing!
