RA Chef Paul and Family Feed Frontline Workers at Danbury Hospital

Paul Desiano, Ridgefield Academy (RA) chef, is cooking for a new lunch crowd. With the RA’s dining rooms currently empty, Chef Paul has been cooking for the front line workers at Danbury Hospital. With access to food vendors and RA’s kitchen, Paul, his wife Ai, and their children have been preparing delicious meals for healthcare workers.

“We are happy to donate and help the community,” said Paul.

In coordination with past parent Stephanie Gong, who has organized Feed Our Heroes - CT, Chef Paul and his family have planned and prepared meals for several shifts at Danbury Hospital. Each donation consists of 50 individually wrapped meals. So far, medical staff have enjoyed tasty meals such as braised chicken and rice bowls with a Mexican flair, and a chicken tikka masala bento box.

Cards and pictures created by RA students will accompany a delivery of an  Italian pasta dinner complete with meatballs and freshly rolled pasta that Service Learning Coordinator Jessica Brooks and Chef Paul will be making this weekend. Look out for their Instagram story on the delivery!
