Lewisboro Celebrates Pride: Conversation on LGBTQIA+ Allyship June 15

There for Each Other: A Lewisboro Conversation on LGBTQIA+ Allyship June 15

Want to be a supportive LGBTQIA+ ally, but not sure how to start? Want to be able to speak to your neighbors or children about LGBTQIA+ topics, but scared of saying the wrong thing? Join your fellow Lewisboro neighbors in a judgment-free community dialogue led by current and former Lewisboro LGBTQIA+ community members and John Jay alums. There for Each Other: A Lewisboro Conversation on LGBTQIA+ Allyship is set for Tuesday, June 15, 8-9:30 pm. We welcome all residents of Lewisboro and our neighboring towns to RSVP here for the Zoom link.

“So many folks want to support LGBTQIA+ youth, community members, and loved ones, but simply don’t know what to say or where to start,” says Lewisboro Celebrates Pride organizer, Rachel Simon. "This is a great chance for us to begin that conversation with our neighbors in a respectful space focused on learning and listening.”

This conversation will have two parts: a) open Q&A on any and all LGBTQIA+ topics, and b) a neighbor-to-neighbor conversation on how to create a safer, more supportive community for LGBTQIA+ residents and children. Whether you’re just starting your allyship journey or well on your way, come join your neighbors for a supportive, inspiring evening of learning together.
