Summer Wolf Camp for Kids

Fee: $350 per child

Give the young animal lover in your family a chance to thrive among wolves all week long!  The five day program will include opportunities for your child to learn about nature and wildlife through woodland exploration, scavenger hunts, wilderness games, live animals, etc. Children will learn about various habitats, animal communication and behavior, food chains, and local wildlife. Pre-registration is required.

Sleeping with Wolves, the Wolf Conservation Center's (WCC) popular nocturnal adventure experience, gives guests a chance to camp out overnight with the 40+ wolves that call the WCC home! With all the howls, circling vultures, and nature's nighttime chatter, you'll feel like you're camping under the stars with wild wolves. We might not be Yellowstone, but we're pretty close! Pre-registration is required. Space is limited and dates sell out quickly!

Learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolf families and discover why it’s a special time for packs in North America. Whether the wolves are living on the Arctic tundra or the woodlands of the southwest, wolf families are out searching for prey as their pups grow bigger and bolder! Guests will visit Ambassador Wolves Alawa, Nikai, and Zephyr, and possibly the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves as well. Pre-registration is required.

Join us for this special opportunity to photograph the WCC’s Ambassador Wolves: Nikai, Alawa, and Zephyr!  Guests will also be given access to photograph the WCC's critically endangered Mexican wolves and red wolves from vantage points not generally available during regular visits.  Pre-registration is required.  Space is very limited, so make your reservation early.

Full Moon Wolf Walk

Celebrate the July full moon with the Wolf Conservation Center’s 40+ moon-loving wolves! While enjoying Nature’s summer chatter by the WCC's outdoor fire pit, guests will enjoy seasonal treats and the symphony of howls from the wolves that call the WCC home. Guests will learn about the history of wolves in the United States, the importance of wolves in a healthy ecosystem, and the efforts to save these magnificent creatures for future generations. Guests will also take will take a short moonlit walk to visit Ambassador Wolves Alawa, Zephyr and Nikai! Please bring flashlights. Pre-registration is required.

Evening Howl for Adults Only

Join us for a special Evening Howl and enjoy visiting the wolves during their favorite hour - dusk. Learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolves in North America while enjoying a lovely spread of wine and cheese. Guests will take a short sunset hike to howl with Ambassador wolves Atka, Alawa, Nikai and Zephyr and potentially behold the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican wolves too. This program is for adults 21 years old and over. Pre-registration is required.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their newspapers and spend a relaxing morning with our Ambassador and red wolves.  We’ll provide the coffee… and the wolves! The wolves can be very active in the early morning so we ask that visitors remain quiet and subdued, as this is a peaceful, private moment for all involved.   Pre-registration is required.
