A Super Bowl Dream Comes True for Ridgefield Resident Conner Curran!

The Cincinnati Bengals are set to play the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, February 13, 2022. One young football fan from Ridgefield is about to get a front-row seat.

Dreams just came true for Ridgefield resident, Conner Curran who had his wish to attend the Super Bowl granted by Make-A-Wish Connecticut.

“Conner has always enjoyed watching sports and football is his absolute favorite sport to watch. When deciding what wish he would like granted, going to the Super Bowl was at the top of the list, and in just a couple of weeks, he will be there experiencing one of the greatest American sporting events ever!” says his dad, Chris.

Make A Wish grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Conner is a true warrior who is battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive muscle-wasting disease that affects mostly boys.

Conner was presented with the tickets and experience itinerary at the brand-new Connecticut Make-A-Wish facility in Trumbull Connecticut.

“The facility is a kid’s paradise with freezers full of ice cream, ping pong, air hockey, basketball pop-a-shots and fun activities around every corner. Conner and his brothers were all smiles when they were treated to presents, ice cream, pizza and loads of fun,” says Chris, who adds “as a Make A Wish kid, was welcome to come back with his family at any time to enjoy the all the fun activities.”

Next week, Make A Wish will fly Conner’s entire family to Los Angeles and the family will all enjoy a day trip to Universal Studios and a tour of SOFI Stadium along with an opportunity to take pictures with the Lombardi Trophy!

Conner and his Mom will be walking the red carpet to attend the NFL Honors ceremony which will be televised on ABC on Thursday night February 10th and then for an incredible finale of the trip Conner and his Dad will attend the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 13.

“The entire Curran family is grateful to the generous donors and the Make A Wish Foundation of Connecticut who made this incredible wish become a reality for Conner. He is over the moon with excitement to experience the Super Bowl in person!” says Chris.

Chris and his wife Jessica founded Kindness Over Muscular Dystrophy to not only find a cure for this disease, but to spread kindness and awareness in an effort to help advance research and treatment. The mission at KOMD is simple: a cure for Conner and all the children with Duchenne, but those words are so much more than a mission statement – it’s a dream, a hope and a prayer!
