Basketball Camp for Boys & Girls at The Harvey School in June

The Harvey School will host two weekly sessions of the B.A.Y. Basketball Camp in June for boys and girls looking to improve their playing skills.

The first session, June 17-21, is geared for young athletes in grades 5-11. The second session, June 24-28, is designed for players in grades 8-11. Both sessions take place from 5-8 p.m. in the Fenstermacher Athletic Center on Harvey’s campus. The cost is $275 per week.

The camp is run by two very successful high school basketball coaches, Brendan Barile and John Colangelo. Barile, the head boys varsity coach of the 2019 NYSAIS Champion Rye Country Day Wildcats, has also coached the International Sligo All-Stars Basketball Club in Ireland and played professional international basketball. Colangelo, whose stellar high school coaching career has spanned 25 years, guided Horace Mann School’s girls varsity team to the 2001 NYSAIS Championship, earning him the 2000-2001 BCANY “Coach of the Year” award.

“Our camp is designed to improve a player’s overall offensive game, develop skills, IQ, and game competition all while having fun and learning the game,” said coach Barile.
