Celebrate Earth Day In and around Lewisboro

Lewisboro residents take heed! Earth Day is this Sunday, April 22! There are a host of events and celebrations taking place in and around Lewisboro that include outdoor concerts, local artisan exhibits, farmers’ markets, and community cleanup efforts - all dedicated toward bringing awareness to our environment and preserving our planet.

Just over the border in Ridgefield, you can shred your documents on Saturday!

Bring all your old receipts, bills, tax papers, bank statements, checks, etc. to be shredded by Winters Brothers mobile shred truck on Saturday from 9am to 1pm at 4 Danbury Road - parking lot (behind Starbucks).  Funds raised by this event go toward Ridgefield Lion's Club initiatives, like those involving senior citizens and the RHS senior scholarship.
Cost is $10.00 per paper-box sized box.

You can also celebrate Earth Day on Lawn of the Bethel Municipal Center (1 School Street, Bethel).

Join the Bethel community from 10 am to 3pm as they celebrate Earth Day by coming together to build and support a healthy environment.  The event will include local vendors, non-profit organizations, community groups, artists, craftspeople, farmers, animals and animal lovers, and others who are dedicated to environmental awareness and preserving our planet.

2020 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day. In honor of this milestone, Earth Day Network is launching an ambitious set of goals to shape the future of 21st-century environmentalism.
