College Admissions, the Holistic Review Process and Community Service in the time of COVID-19

College Admissions, the Holistic Review Process and Community Service in the time of COVID-19 on Wednesday, July 29th at 7:00 pm

Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper, partners at Stand Out For College, LLC, are giving an updated Zoom presentation hosted by the Lewisboro Library to help families understand how the college admissions landscape is changing due to COVID-19 and what impact it will have on rising Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.

The college admissions situation is undergoing massive changes this year with many schools going test-optional. All the Ivies, Duke, UVA, Penn State, Ohio State and many other high profile colleges have announced that they are test-optional for this upcoming admissions cycle. (Princeton announced that it is test-optional and will not allow early applications this fall so the situation is fluid and changing daily.)

This means that admissions officers will give more weight to college essays, extracurricular activities, teacher recommendations and community service projects when they review applications as part of the holistic review process which will be explained.

This program covers how admissions officers are handling the current situation and how students can position themselves to develop a compelling narrative to stand out and increase their chances for admission.

Please RSVP to ron@standoutforcollege.com. You will receive a private invitation with a Zoom link in reply. There is no charge for this event.
