How YOU can put the "Kind" in World Kindess Week at Lewisboro Library

World Kindness Week is November 7 – November 13.

During this week, groups and individuals are encouraged to go out of their way to be kind to others, whether it be at home, work, school, or just out in public. The Library will have several opportunities that week to help community members show their kindness.

On Monday, November 7, there will be a “Guide Dog Pull Toys Workshop,” at which people of all ages can make braided pull toys to donate to the puppies being trained at Guiding Eyes for the Blind. The workshop will take place from 5 to 8 pm, so people can come in at their convenience. Click here to register.

All week there will be an “Acts of Kindness Jar” set up at the circulation desk, so people can choose a slip of paper with a suggested act of kindness to perform in the community. There will also be a “Collection Box for the Community Center of Northern Westchester.”  Community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items for our neighbors in need. Please click here for a list of most-needed items.

Lastly, to get in the spirit of kindness and giving to others, be sure to check out the Library’s display of kind, uplifting and feel-good novels.
