Ridgefield Academy Welcomes Back Westchester Residents for Its 45th Year!

Ridgefield Academy Welcomes Back Patriots for Its 45th School Year Including Sarah Bongiorno, Jack Goble, Charles Goggin, Bryce Heaton, Tommy Heaton, Charlotte Henrich, Helena Ladah, and Dylan Schwartz of Westchester

Upper School students led the welcome cheer as students arrived on the RA campus last Tuesday, September 4 for the start of the 2018-19 school year. Over 530 students comprise Landmark Preschool and Ridgefield Academy across four campuses, with 50 new faces at the Ridgefield campus alone.

One of those new faces is Head of School Tom Main, who joined RA from The King School in Stamford, CT, Tom brings a wealth of experience and leadership as both an educator and administrator. Signifying the beginning of one's journey at RA, Tom joined all new students and five new faculty and staff members in a longtime special RA tradition of ringing the school bell on the first day.

Ridgefield Academy is committed to academic excellence and values a forward-thinking curriculum. Students are not only engaged and inspired but are also challenged to think critically and creatively. This is accomplished in an environment that fosters kindness and community and encourages risk-taking and innovation.

Parents and children are invited to RA’s first Open House of the school year on Saturday, November 3, from 10am to noon at the Ridgefield Campus. S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) themed activities for prospective students and families will highlight the open house, and members of the RA faculty will be present to give tours and answer questions about RA’s curriculum and culture.  Please come see what we are all about!
