The Flag Project: Submit Your New York City–Inspired Photos

It’s been a year since Covid upended life as we know it in New York City—and beyond. But in characteristic fashion, we soldiered on.

Due to the overwhelming response to The Flag Project 2020 at Rockefeller Center, The management of Rockefeller Center is doing it again, only this time, the flags will bear photos submitted by you. In partnership with Aperture Foundation, the New York based not-for-profit photo foundation and publisher, we invite you to take part and submit a photo inspired by the City.

Artists of all abilities and from all locations are invited to submit their photos for consideration from Feb. 8–26, 2021. Aperture Foundation will select 83 photographs to be produced as 8-foot by 5-foot flags that will be displayed at Rockefeller Center from March 27–April 30, 2021. The exhibition will be free, non-ticketed and open to the public.
