Egg Hunt with Wolves!

Make your holiday the wildest one yet! Join us Easter weekend to learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolves in North America and then join in an egg-hunt with a twist! Instead of looking for eggs, guests will help hide them for Ambassador Wolves Alawa, Nikai and Zephyr to find.  Guests will also visit Ambassador Wolf Atka and the WCC's critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves.  Pre-registration is required.

Whether the wolves are living on the Arctic tundra or the woodlands of the southwest, wolf families are out searching for prey as they prepare for the birth of pups! Guests will visit Ambassador Wolves Atka, Alawa, Nikai, and Zephyr, and possibly the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves as well. Pre-registration is required.

Evening Howl for Pups of All Ages

Fee: $16 – adults / $13 – children under 12

Enjoy visiting the wolves during their favorite hour - dusk. Learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolf families and discover why April is a magical time for packs in North America. Guests will take a short sunset hike to howl with Ambassador wolves Atka, Alawa, Nikai and Zephyr and potentially behold the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican wolves. All guests will be served weather appropriate treats. Please bring flashlights. Pre-registration is required.

Evening Howl for Adults Only

Join us for a special Evening Howl and enjoy visiting the wolves during their favorite hour - dusk. Learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolves in North America while enjoying a lovely spread of wine and cheese. Guests will take a short sunset hike to howl with Ambassador wolves Atka, Alawa, Nikai and Zephyr and potentially behold the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican wolves too. This program is for adults 21 years old and over. Pre-registration is required.

Early Morning Photo Session

Date: April 14, 2018

Time: 8 am

Fee: $100 per person

Join us for this special opportunity to photograph the WCC’s Ambassador Wolves: Atka, Nikai, Alawa, and Zephyr!  Guests will also be given access to photograph the WCC's critically endangered Mexican wolves and red wolves from vantage points not generally available during regular visits.  Pre-registration is required.  Space is very limited, so make your reservation early.

Nature’s Course: Wolves of Isle Royale

Isle Royale is both a national park and a national forest.  It is a destination site for avid hikers and canoeists, but it is also the home to a wolf population that is on the verge of extinction.  Join us as we discuss the causes of the drastic decline in the wolf population and what is being done to prevent their extinction.  Afterwards, Guests will visit Ambassador Wolves Atka, Alawa, Nikai, and Zephyr and possibly the WCC’s critically endangered red wolves and Mexican gray wolves. Pre-registration is required.

Pack Chat for Kids

This is the best introduction to wolves for families with young children.  Kids will learn about the mythology surrounding wolves and the important role of wolves in the natural world. Sleeping with Wolves

Sleeping with Wolves, the Wolf Conservation Center's (WCC) popular nocturnal adventure experience, gives guests a chance to camp out overnight with the 20+ wolves that call the WCC home! With all the howls, circling vultures, and nature's nighttime chatter, you'll feel like you're camping under the stars with wild wolves. We might not be Yellowstone, but we're pretty close! Pre-registration is required. Space is limited and dates sell out quickly!

Full Moon Wolf Walk

Celebrate the April full moon with the Wolf Conservation Center’s 20+ moon-loving wolves! While enjoying Nature’s spring chatter by the WCC's outdoor fire pit, guests will enjoy seasonal treats and the symphony of howls from the wolves that call the WCC home. Guests will learn about the history of wolves in the United States, the importance of wolves in a healthy ecosystem, and the efforts to save these magnificent creatures for future generations. Guests will also take will take a short moonlit walk to visit Ambassador Wolves Atka, Alawa, Zephyr and Nikai! Please bring flashlights. Pre-registration is required.
